BrandonWhy we have GUI Awards
GUI Awards takes place for two reasons: 1. So that GUI coders with the most talent or dedication can be rewarded, and 2. to draw attention to GUI projects that are going on. On December 1st, the day I posted that GUI Awards was starting, we had double the unique hits and page views that we normally get. I plan to do the same things once we finish the awards. This year however, I will be doing something new, I will be writing an article going into detail about all of the entries, their histories and how they could best be used. Another announcement, because some coders are busy or lazy, they don't always enter their GUIs, so this yea the last week of sign-ups maybe we should allow other people to sign up GUIs for their authors?

I like both of your ideas. I think that all of this will work best if you can get in touch with the authors of the GUIs, send them a few emails, ask if they want their GUIs included and can provide the latest version. They might even be able to write the history part for you.

BrandonRe:Why we have GUI Awards
I want to write all the histries so that the whole article can be read smoothly rather than ahpping like 8 different formats. [/quote] I mass e-mailed every member of the blog and no one has signed anything up. So you can't always count on authors to sign up, hence the week of allowing anyone to sign up any GUI.
