| Brandon | Status UpdateI haven't been posting a lot lately, which is partly to do with the fact that most of the post don't have to do with GUIs, Hardware or OSes, the 3 topics I'd be interested in. Also, flu season is in full swing and most of last weekend I was sick so I haven't got much coding done.
[b]Fun500[/b]: I do have some Ideas as to what I want to do next, but after upgrading to Win7, it makes 16Bit less integrated so either I have a Win98 machine I'm going to work on or I'll set up a Win98 Virtual Machine once I get my Phenom.
[b]Hardware[/b]:I think I'm upto 45 machines now, they won't all fit on my self. I got a "donation" of like 12 from a relative who is Microsoft Certified and they are pretty nice, a bunch of P4 Dells, a couple Dual P3 Servers and a few various others. I also bought an AMD Phenom X4 9650, its a few years old but it's a Quad Core CPU and I only payed $75 so I'm going to have fun with that :P
[b]OSes[/b]:I'm still enjoying OS X 10.6 on my Macbook, and have WinXP on the side for things like GUI development and to play games. My desktop is a little more interesting with it running Win7 64bit (I plan to get more RAM eventually) and I downloaded Ubuntu 9.10, but the upgrade from 9.04 didn't do so smoothly so I'm going to try a fresh install on a different partition. | 2009-11-01 | 7:44 AM |
