BrandonHow my 286 has influenced Fun500
Fun500 4 wasn't the fastest or most efficient, but it worked. With Fun500 5, I wanted to do something other GUIs haven't been, make a GUI for real old hardware, 16bit CPU, little RAM, and a VGA card only. I was messing with Fun500 5.1 on my Epson 286 this weekend and realized that WGET is a 32Bit application, and the GUI is built around it, and I realized that using the 286 wasn't worth my time, I'm better off with one of my 486's that have IDE hard drives. So the next Fun500 will probably be made in FreeBASIC, and if not, it will just be a "Service Pack" out of laziness. I was looking though the images on my server and I found an old timeline image that I made back ~2006. http://brandoncornell.com/Fun500/IMAGES/time.PNG Based off from that Fun500 will have been in development for 5 years as of April 19,2010 :P
