| Brandon | Spam AttackIn the biggest Spam attack ever at the Blog we received over 25 posts in the last 12 hours.
About 15 minutes ago I got an IM from Pharoah letting me know that the forum was overrun with spam. I wasn't sure how much, but I saw that the front page only listed spam, and knew the forum requires that you delete posts one at a time. I promoted Pharoah to a moderator, and we deleted the spam.
To prevent this from happening again, guest posting has been disabled, it was going to have to happen at some point, but now is the time. If you don't want to spend 5 minutes and register, then don't post! | 2009-08-26 | 9:37 AM |
