Todd | Boot Manager questionAlright well I'm looking for an easy-to-configure boot manager that only displays the OS choice menu when a key is pressed (e.g. a function key). I'd like to try out some smaller Linux distros like muLinux or at least try to compile / install them and if so I'd like to have a good boot manager that doesn't pester me all the time for an OS to choose.
Know of any that automatically boot to an OS but manually let you select it when a key is pressed? | 2009-06-02 | 11:32 PM |

Todd | Re:Boot Manager questionI was just thinking that. I know you can write boot scripts for GRUB but I thought that only worked when you selected the command on the boot menu. | 2009-06-03 | 10:41 AM |
Brandon | Re:Boot Manager questionEdit the menu.lst so that there is like a 2 second time out. Its simple and works for me. | 2009-06-03 | 4:14 PM |
