rCXI need a GUI...
Since I am too lazy to try the hundreds of DOS GUI's out there; Does anyone know of a open-source GUI that allows users to... * Browse all files on a DOS machine * Open/Save text files * Run EXE and COM files * Run or edit BAT files * Allows user created shortcuts on a desktop (like in Windows) ...? Thanks

Unfortunately oZone doesn't do the desktop icons. I'll have to try Seal2. Shameless self promotion of your own GUI's is welcome ;)

You could try Blue. That has a text editor and desktop as well as a drag-and-drop file manager.

GEM works pretty well for this kind of stuff & it's fast even on older machines.

GEM is probably your best bet at the moment, Fun500 5 should meet all of that by GUI Awards :P

I think bet = beat here :). By the way, it would be weird if bet were the past tense of beat.
