Brandon | GUI Awards 2009 PredictionsWell as of right now, We have over 7 months, but I think I can make a pretty decent guess.
Assuming all these GUIs are entered:
1-TNT (Or whatever Kyle's GUI is called :P)
2-Fun500
3-Q-Step
4-Spark
5-Cobra
That's my guess as of April 13, 2009, lets see how it holds :P | 2009-04-13 | 2:07 PM |
pharoah | Re:GUI Awards 2009 PredictionsThat's because you haven't seen Cobalt yet (too many projects to complete first, aaargh). Right now I have to get through:
QGET 1.2 & 1.2w
Spark's QML reader "Selenium"
QGET's official QML reader "GlobeView" + Transcript language
Myth rendering engine
Fun500 GUI 5's QML reader using Myth
Cobalt

ksr | Re:GUI Awards 2009 PredictionsThe GUI is called Reflow, the scripting language is called TNT (standing for TNT's Not Tcl).
7 months might just not be long enough :P | 2009-04-13 | 7:03 PM |
jasonwoodland | Re:GUI Awards 2009 PredictionsSame here, 7 months isn't long enough, even though I will come last I have to do heaps to make up for a scripting language. | 2009-04-13 | 7:26 PM |

Nice, a classic UNIX-style recursive acronym. I like how they give you 1 freebie letter at the beginning to do whatever you need with to make the acronym work :).

Don't let Brandon discourage you... I think he's just basing his assessment on the fact that nobody's really seen Cobra yet. It's still early in the year :). | 2009-04-13 | 9:00 PM |
trolly | Re:GUI Awards 2009 Predictionsif i work with jason , cobra will certainly get a 2nd or 3rd place :P
it's a joke, i have realy not enought time ... , i'm not sure to enter the gui award this year if i do not find something new for q-step (i mean q-step itself, his apps), i realy search cool gui concept to use | 2009-04-14 | 8:55 PM |
Brandon | Re:GUI Awards 2009 PredictionsI can see that we all don't agree, my purpose wasn't to offend anyone, but to have something to look back and laugh at, and to remind you that GUI Awards are happening, really the whole rush the month before GUI Awards thing is pretty lame. | 2009-04-14 | 8:59 PM |
trolly | Re:GUI Awards 2009 PredictionsI have an idea, we'll all guess what will be the final classification. One who is closest wins the prize for the best punter | 2009-04-17 | 6:19 AM |
Brandon | Re:GUI Awards 2009 PredictionsYeah, I guess we could do that. | 2009-04-17 | 8:06 AM |
