aguma | Project 47Well first of all I wasn't sure whether to put this in Announcements or Other, so I just put it here. Anyway
I've decided to do Project 47 (yes that's actually the name of it). It'll be an emulator of a nonexistant computer, of which I can load an operating system which will load a GUI. I'm not so sure about how I'm going to do anything yet, so I won't say anything else. But let me know that you think of the idea... | 2009-01-15 | 8:56 PM |
pharoah | Re:Project 47Your description seemed a bit vague to me. Are you making a virtual machine type system to make the GUI portable to different platforms? | 2009-01-15 | 10:57 PM |
| Re:Project 47well no, I'm going to clarify once I actually figure out exactly what I'm going to do (lol) | 2009-01-16 | 8:28 PM |
aguma | Re:Project 47ok so now it's more of a programming language with its own little enclosed system than an emulator. so far I have a printf function and a function that updates the display, also there's a function to switch screen modes and such. it's pretty lame, but also cool. even cooler is the fact that it actually works!
btw how come i'm in guest mode even though i'm already logged in??? | 2009-01-22 | 7:01 PM |
pharoah | Re:Project 47That's actually pretty cool. Reminds me of what I did with Atlantis a while back (although that system was fatally flawed and really not turing complete). I am starting to kind of plug this a lot, but you should try implementing your scripting as a concatenative (stack based) language because the interpreters for these languages are ridiculously easy to code (I could probably hammer one out in hours instead of weeks). | 2009-01-23 | 8:25 AM |
