Brandon | WANTED! listOk, so we all know I've been around a while, perhaps too long. The line that is always blurred to me is whether to make a Uni-tasking or Multitasking GUI. Uni-tasking GUIs take less time, because there is no scripter. Multitasking is under appreciated, because the results of days of hard work really could be done in 20mins in a Uni-tasking system. I would like to know, what do you want to see in a GUI in 2009? What features would make the ideal GUI, in your opinion? Personally, I'd like to see a package manager, a very advanced file manager, a simple very basic html viewer, some sort of chat system(maybe?), a text editor, with a nice desktop to tie everything together. | 2009-01-11 | 8:56 AM |
pharoah | Re:WANTED! listGood multitasking system with turing complete language that was stable, so i could program for it. XGUI is kind of close but it isn't too stable. Also it would be nice to have any GUI with a lot of apps. I would like to try the experience of only using a QB GUI for a few days but it's impossible with what we currently have. | 2009-01-12 | 1:15 PM |
