Re:wsock32.dll not found
Give me 3 reasons why it would be better to use a mac over windows?

Re:wsock32.dll not found
1. It's cool. 2. It's lame. 3. YAY! Lol but anyway macs are just different (hence the slogan 'think differently').

By using a Mac you are conforming to a nonconformist OS. Just like everyone else B). Unfortunately, I had to reinstall the operating system. Did you back up your files?

1.No viruses 2.No BSoD/Crashes Other than that there isn't any real reasons. I honestly am thinking of running Ubuntu on this thing. Reasons why Ubuntu beats Windows: Its free, faster, uses less system resources, no virus, spyware, adware, and has a package manager. Its almost 2009 :P

No, only M$ products.

And you probably would not get errors like this on MacOS or Ubuntu.

Re:wsock32.dll not found
Hmm I bet apple is much worse then M$. One thing I don't like about apple is how everything is over priced. I bet you can get the same laptop with the same hardware from something like Dell/hp for half the price. People say windows crashes and stuff, but I've used windows 98/windows 2000/windows vista and the older mac os. I noticed that win98 does crash alot, but windows 2000 has crashed very rarely. windows vista is just really slow, it takes like a good 5 seconds to load something like a menu or file manager, while its instant on the windows 2000. The newer mac is just bsd unix with a fancy interface. Just get freebsd and kde or soemthing. another problem with mac is that barely any hardware or software works on it. The one thing I do like about apple is its funny to see how hard m$ tries to copy and keep up with the mac osx :) Just look how similar windows vista is to the mac osx.

Re:wsock32.dll not found
anyways, I havent mentioned linux because its free. And you cant go wrong with free software no matter how shit it is. But apart from compatibility with hardware and software, linux is a pretty nice os. It has not crashed for me yet, but Gnome and the package manager and other gnome programs (and firefox) are always crashing and fucking up my system. that is why i switch to fluxbox and use the opera from time to time

I just bought a new Macbook for $1300, for the price you will get the same thing from HP or Toshiba (I didn't really look into Dell. I will admit that some Macs are overpriced: for example the $1000 macbook, but not all are. I have not had any thing crash in OS X yet, although the finder loads somewhat slow. Macs have no software? lol Most Linux software is ported. I have Firefox, Kompozer, GIMP, Pidgin, DOSBox, OpenOffice, Audacity. Windows XP is a lot less likely to show you a BSoD than 98, But its just as bad.
