Brandon | EA Tech SupportWell I was waiting for SPORE to come out for a long time (over a year). And I bought it the first day it came out. After I installed it the CD Stayed in the case besides when by brother used it.
When I got my macbook the first thing I tried to do was install SPORE, only to find the install freezing at 80/90 files and the disk scratched up.
My next idea was to take apart my external hard drive and use the controller with a dvd drive to make an external dvd drive, install failed again.
I then got all the updated from apple, It froze.
So I contact EA tech support and tell them my situation, they say "change the screen mode" LOL Can someone tell me how to do this to a game that won't install?
They also wanted my MAC Profile with all my hardware info?
I just want to know if you can do a manual install (The corrupt shit on my DVD is on the hdd of my other system), or if there's a way to get a replacement cd.
I wonder why SPORE is downloaded on p2p apps so much :P | 2008-12-27 | 12:18 PM |
Todd | Re:EA Tech SupportEA has turned into something bad. They have all these stupid DRMs and licensing things. It wasn't always like this.
Did you try copying everything or burning a new disk? | 2008-12-27 | 6:48 PM |
Brandon | Re:EA Tech SupportI might try a new disk. | 2008-12-27 | 7:27 PM |
Todd | Re:EA Tech SupportI mean it's not like you didn't pay for it. I think EA's just a little too liberal with DRM when it comes to protecting their games. | 2008-12-27 | 7:56 PM |
