BrandonFaster Net for Me!!!
No, its not a x-mas gift, though it might as well be one, my dad upgraded our satellite internet plan. I had dial-up for a long time and last year we got Wildblue internet and my dad being a penny pincher got the cheapest plan. I would get 66KB/s downloads which compared to 6KB/s for dial-up is pretty good. Now we have the Platinum plan, which is a 1.5Mbps plan, so I get about 200KB/s!!!

Wow! How'd you get him to upgrade? At least surfing the web will be faster.

I heard for some people who work from home, the companies they work for pay for something like a cable or satellite connection so they can tele-commute without any lag. Still, at least it's better than dial-up. :P
