Brandon | My Christmas GiftI know I'm early, but I'm excited! I'm getting a MacBook, or maybe a Mac Mini for Christmas (well I'll get it at Christmas and have to pay it off). So as soon as my dad is ready I'll be clicking buy and then Christmas morning I will forget windows forever mwhahahaha.Trust me DOSBox will be installed the first day. Anyways I guess this means I will be paying it off for a long time.
The Macbook I'm most into: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834100039 | 2008-11-08 | 3:16 PM |
Todd | Re:My Christmas GiftLooks pretty sweet! So it's not a MacBook Pro? The specs look pretty good too. Too bad it's only 2 GHz. I always try to go for a little more but still that's pretty kick-ass!
Just wondering, are you going for the notebook for the Mac Mini? | 2008-11-08 | 8:45 PM |
Brandon | Re:My Christmas GiftOnly 2GHz, dude is a core 2 duo!! My 1.8GHz Core will kick any P4 cpu by a mile! And it uses DDR3 ram, so that would make it run so much faster. My dad said I an get what I want, So I'm desiding. My 2 options (The Mini is an old generation, and the new one won't be out till january so I won't be getting one):
-A white macbook, new on ebay, with 1gb ram, 80gb hdd, core 2, $850
-the one I linked up, the only problem is the money, $1300 is a lot and unless I have a job or something will take forever to pay off. | 2008-11-09 | 7:54 AM |
Brandon | Can you spare a dime?I now owe my dad $1272. I ordered a Apple MacBook:
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.00GHz
13.3" WXGA
2GB DDR3 1066
160GB 5400rpm
DVD±R/RW
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard
Unfortunately as a cruel joke my parents are making me wait till Christmas to open the box.
BTW: I have a lot of computers, and they are all for sale, with a mac what else could I need? | 2008-11-09 | 6:47 PM |
SonicBrit | Re:Can you spare a dime?I have enough computers, but I collect old software.
So if you have anything that will entice me let me know. | 2008-11-09 | 10:07 PM |

Todd | Re:Can you spare a dime?Even I'm laughing at it! My parents just don't tell me at all what I'm getting for Christmas. ;)
I wish I could buy some old computers but I really don't have the time or the space to use them. Plus I really don't work as much as I did the past 2 years since I'm 100 miles from home. | 2008-11-10 | 7:50 AM |
