BrandonFun500 Update
I'm back. I could go on and on about vacation but I think I'll wait and post pictures in a couple of days. School starts on the 3rd for me so I will not have as much time as I have had all summer. Now on to the real message Fun500. While at Walt Disney World I though about Fun500 some and I got a few ideas that I will outline here. -The promise to developers: Fun500 will always run scripts made for any previous version. -I need to get going and actually code something, all I did for 4 was tidy up loose ends and write a log-in system no one uses, because it won't work in DOSBox. So Expect to see new features soon such as: *Theme System 2 *Arrays *Child apps *Script Dominance *New ways of accessing data/programs And many other bugfixes. Fun500 'Klinger' expected this year and should have some or all of this. After that will be 'Radar'. Currently a lot of talented QB programmers are having trouble learning EZ Script, So On Saturday the 6th at 7pm EST I will be holding a 1hr chat session were we will all learn the language together. It will be in AIM chatroom 'fun500' and I expect all Team Cool members to show up. I'm back for a long time so lets get some GUIs out!(off to try SPARK)		2008-08-3110:25 PM

Use Pidgin (http://pidgin.im) and get an AIM account. I HATE the regular AIM client it has ads and slows down my PC, but everyone has an AIM account, even the girls at school.		2008-09-035:02 PM

I first got hint of it when I heard that M$ was forcing SP2 on all Windows XP computers. The second time was when I saw Windows Vista. And now that you told me that computers aren't supporting anything but Windows drivers, that's where I draw the line. Well I have 2 wireless cards, neither have Linux drivers, SATA drivers are testy and ATI video drivers suck. so really M$ is the only way to use a lot of hardware at half its potential.		2008-09-035:55 PM

I was considering putting Linux on my laptop, but would only do so if I could get all the necessary drivers (webcam, biometrics, graphics etc). I'm gonna email the manufacturer and see what they say (although it'll most likely be "Linux? wtf?" ).		2008-09-035:56 PM

What is it? Usually Laptops are decent. The EEE is a Linux users dream. Apple is smart, there closed system makes good shit. Microsofts system only works if they make good shit.		2008-09-036:01 PM

It's a customised 'top spec' from pcspecialist.co.uk. The thing is, on the website things like the touchpad and webcam are just listed as "integrated"; there's no vendor info (although I guess the touchpad is synaptics). Is Linux usually good at working with these generic sort of devices? (without a specific driver)		2008-09-036:13 PM

Touchpad hell yes, The webcam I'm not really sure. I'd install Linux and if nothing else you can use it to find the model of the cam. One thing, DO NOT use Ubuntu, it has a problem like windows were after a month or 2 it slows down. OpenSUSE seems to be good enough.		2008-09-036:38 PM

I used to dual-boot with Ubuntu, I thought it was pretty good. I didn't use it that much, though. I want something reasonably easy to use, with Gnome installed (KDE sucks).		2008-09-037:00 PM
