BrandonList of all my hardware
I'm working on a list of all my hardware, I've just started it here: http://brandoncornell.com/?content=hardware

Just curious, but why do you think anyone is interested in what hardware you own? Unless you have rare stuff in your collection and you have photographs of it, it seems like a waste of time.

I like how it says you own your sister's desktop. ;-)

***Never mind. You got rid of it.

Horvat, I like seeing lists like that on web-site's even if they are rare. It's my personal web-site and I can post whatever I want. My dad wants machines in each of my siblings room's so I have two set up, I own the hardware and can modify it, but with my brother's especially, if I really down-grade it he'd notice.

Damn thing broke, so it's not all there, I'll probably make a database of them sometime.

They are all for sale, Dick :P If someone wanted to pay fair price for them, I'd sell them all. I also sell individual machines and sometimes do trades (Todd and I traded a bunch of stuff once).

How much would you sell the Inspiron 7500 for?

BrandonRe:List of all my hardware
The battery is shot, the AC cable is a little rough but works, and there was some sanding on the palm rest (only hurts visuals, not functionality), but other than that it's in mint condition. Idk for sure, but maybe $75 plus S&H (probably like $15-20).

The list is now up and working in a better format thanks to Pharoah.

How much for the thinkpad? or the HP laptop? Those seem to have the specs i'm looking for.

BrandonRe:List of all my hardware
The thinkpad is about $500 with the SSD and WD Hard drive installed.(I could take it down to $400 without the SSD). The HP is a little more rough, sanding on palmrest, right mouse button has to be pressed hard, and the battery is shot, and I'd want $180. (Note: All my prices are negotiable.)

tacodrake95Re:List of all my hardware
well, the hp is compatible with windows 7 according to the specs, but i'd have to compare prices with adding the price of windows 7 Ultimate($319.99) with the price of the hp laptop($180) and compare that price($499.99) with the price of a brand new laptop($499.99) and see which one has better value.

BrandonRe:List of all my hardware
That comparison is unfair for a couple reasons: A new laptop would have a working batter and a good AC cable (the HP one is rough) and no $500 laptop will have Win7 Ultimate.

tacodrake95Re:List of all my hardware
Actually, the new laptop(not the same kind) had windows 7 home premium on it, so for an upgrade the total cost would be around $700.

ToddRe:List of all my hardware
But who needs all the features of Ultimate? My Ubuntu partition has more customization and it's all free. Just get a generic version of Windows 7. There are probably hacks out there for it to enable those features once you activate it anyway.

the problem is that my parents would find out somehow, and i wouldn't be able to explain it.
