pharoah | Re:Gui websitesI don't know about tutorials (your best bet might be QB Express), but I'll go ahead and take a walk down memory lane for a while. There were lots of good GUI review sites back in the day, although most of them now can only be found through the wayback machine.
Qbasic OS/GUI Reviews
This site was the first Qbasic GUI review place I remember finding. It doesn't have that many GUIs, but the author doesn't pull any punches when it comes to reviewing them. Still a fun place to look, if you haven't seen it. I think Todd made a mirror, but I don't remember the URL. This is a wayback link.
Sepent Technologies
Sepent used to have quite a nice set of GUI reviews, with a fairly thorough rating system, Unfortunately, they stopped adding new GUIs, and their site seems to have disappeared altogether. This is a wayback link.
Jacobpalm.dk
You might hear people talking about this site. It used to have a very active forum, and a few articles and GUI reviews. I thought I'd mention it, even though I can't find a good wayback link, since Brandon and some of the others might make reference to it, and I'm told there's a badge for being a JP veteran.
Of course, there's also Todd's site, but you know about that. Todd has the largest collection of GUIs and reviews. I know this wasn't very helpful tutorial wise, but if you've got a more specific question about how to write a GUI, I might be able to write a tutorial on that subject (I know mostly about scripting, but other things too).

Brandon | Re:Gui websitesPete's has a couple GUI tutorials I think, the best place to learn about how to make GUIs is from looking at the code of other GUIs and how they work. One place I learned a lot (notice the massive jump in objects between Fun500 2 and 3) was by looking at and playing with other GUIs code, in my case Phoenix (it's on Todd's site and was made by him). | 2011-03-15 | 7:25 PM |
