Jason | Re:I\'m working on Spark againAguma, I say this is verrrry impressive and the equvalent to Navaska if were to be completed.

Brandon | Re:I'm working on Spark againAguma, it is slow, Fun500 6 is going to be faster than other multitasking GUIs, it's in QBASIC and VGA. Try Fun500 4, you'll see that if you try to multitask and script in FreeBASIC, it just doesn't go fast enough for real usage. Fun500 6 was going to be in FreeBASIC, but when I ran my code on my 486 I realized that QB was the only way I was going to get the speed I wanted.

aguma | Re:I\'m working on Spark again????? I'm running it on 25000 cycles on DOSBox and it's not slow ?????
EDIT: Brandon, it's IN QB already | 2010-05-02 | 2:12 PM |
Jason | Re:I\'m working on Spark againBrandon, i think that the current Fun500 isn't multitasking, i think it task swapping. Correct me if i am wrong...?
The only GUI that got close to multitasking was GIMI, but if you put a window above world.gex the earth image would go over, thats why nvsk had a double buffer and needed alot of XMS memory to even run 1 app. | 2010-05-02 | 11:46 PM |
Brandon | Re:I\'m working on Spark againJason, technically you are correct as no apps need to multitask, so the functionality isn't used. BUT if I wanted to add an app that was constantly running (for example a counter) it would be as simple as adding a routine to the main loop. | 2010-05-03 | 10:40 AM |
