Re:News Comment System That'd slow the site down, I'd have to run queries for each post to get the number of comments.

Re:News Comment System How about storing the number of comments? That way you would only have to query the number of posts once per each news post, and in the future, when somebody comments to a news post, you would increment that number, and decrement it when a post is deleted.
