| Brandon | ContestWe are having a contest and the winner gets a Platnium Point. I will not be entering, but I will be judging. [u]For those of you with the Team Cool Userbars, you have to enter or I'll remove the userbar.[/u]
The contest: Make a theme for Fun500 GUI 3.0.
Rules: -Must be uploaded and a link must be in this thread by the end of the day Saturday, the 26th.
-You MAY enter more than on (it will increase your chances of winning)
[b]Hint(s):[/b]
-Fun500 GUI Hawkeye is associated with effinency and M*A*S*H so green would be cool.
-Grey Sucks, It will be hard to win with a grey theme
-Black is cool
If you don't know where to start:
1-Get Fun500 GUI 3
2-Run WIN_GUI.EXE
3-On the sidebar click Config
4-In the dialog click the skins checkbox and the save button.
5-In the Fun500 folder open the Users folder then the Default folder then the Themes folder, then mess with the images to see whicg ones do what.

I am the only judge so it comes down to my preference.[/u]
The winning theme will be default in Hawkeye, and good ones will be included. All Entries will be tested and a package of all of them will be on my site.

The Prize[/b]: A Platnium point for the winner and if 5 people enter 2nd place gets a regular point. Also your theme will be the default in the next Fun500 if you win!

| ksr | Re:ContestYeah actually looking at it some of it is wrong (the sidebar & window title colour share the same value, which is the 4th one down). So I've no idea what the 5th and 6th values do.
EDIT: The 5th value is the text box colour. I've edited my previous list.

You got your braces? How do they feel? Not to make you worry, but when they tighten it is the worst. I remember my friend TJ had braces and he couldn't eat anything because of the pain from his tightened braces. | Brandon | Contest ResultsThe Contest is over. I got 10 themes from 4 authors!! It was difficult picking which was best and which was worst but it mostly came down to quality. Anyways heres the top 3 themes:
-Kyle's with the black titlebar (Kblack in the ZIP)
-Jason's CystalXP (CrystalX)
-Kyle's with the green titlebar (Kgreen)
In the ZIP there is the 10 contest themes and 2 BONUS! ones by me.

Not for everyone. If you had braces and they made room for them, they'll pop in without problems.
Anyway, when/if mine have to come out, I'm having local anesthesia and staying up. "Why?" you may ask. Let's just say the thought of an accidental overdose scares me. You know Britain doesn't even allow aneshesia outside of hospitals?
Plus, I had an impacted tooth removed under local before and it wasn't that bad (but I wouldn't recommend it if blood, grinding, pulling and the like scare you, because you will see it.) | 2008-07-27 | 10:59 AM |
