| Brandon | WelcomeThis is a big step for us. I've been talking about a "Blog 2.0" since I released my own custom CMS for the blog. It's pretty obvious by now that it's not coming. So, today I introduce to you the blog 4,0!! (after Todd's, Joomla!, and My custom CMS). I have chosen to use WordPress, which might be a little controversial, but it should allow us to get the blog back to it's roots...a blog. A few things will have to be done differently: the "GUI List" and projects are gone, now you should post news articles with your GUIs name as a tag the forum is gone, now just post questions to the blog feed and categorize it as "Questions" Off the top of my head, those are the only trade offs I can think of. I know that this move will be awkward for a while, but it was definitely needed and using a popular CMS like WordPress should allow the site to stay up-to date and feature complete, something that could never happen if we continued to use a custom CMS designed and maintained by myself. | 2013-02-16 | 5:34 PM |
